In the same way, drinking plenty of water is even necessary when trying to shed kilos. See around you and almost everyone wants to lose weight. As per research, you should drink 500 ml of water 30 minutes before the main meals. An old theory suggests that half of the time you feel hungry when you are thirsty. So, drinking water 30 minutes before the meal will prevent you from overeating.

A study has found that drinking cold water can speed up weight loss. The study tested 24 people, out of which 12 drank 500 ml of cold water while the other 12 drank water at room temperature. The results were that both the groups burned two-three per cent more calories in next 90 minutes. However, the group of people who drank cold water increased their body’s resting expenditure (calories burnt while you are at rest). The number of calories burned by the body also increased because the body had to heat the water for digesting it.

Drinking water is essential and this study proves that even timing can play a major role when you are watching your weight. If you are someone on a weight loss plan and are trying to lose unwanted fat from the body fast, eat healthily, exercise regularly and drink plenty of water at the right time.
